Words to Live and Write by

I am willing to fall Because I have learned how to rise.

I craft Love from heartbreak, Compassion from shame, Grace from disappointment, Courage from failure.

I am among the brave and brokenhearted, and I am rising strong.

Note to Self: Don't shop in sandals

Made the mistake of going grocery shopping in wedge sandals; super cute and super painful--not that anyone was looking at my feet with my very distracting toddler. Lana refused to sit in the cart, twisting into weird contortions and repeating "no, no, no!" every time I tried to sit her in it. Instead, she insisted she be able to push the cart where she pleased or run free through the store, which is in chaos because it's being remodeled and we spent way too long to find only half the things on our list. (Mostly I bought several varieties of ice cream treats.) We lost a baby shoe somewhere along the way, but luckily it was returned before we had to backtrack through the whole store by some kind lady who got only a harried "thanks SO much" while I struggled to wrangle the debit card away from the toddler.
I'm thinking it might be time to start grocery shopping baby-free... Is that allowed?
